If you’re pricing a generator with a spreadsheet open, I already like you. But I have to warn you: the lowest quote is not the cheapest.

The total cost is the system, the installation, the maintenance, and the dealer who answers the phone.
I'd buy Generac again. I'd just buy the whole system this time—and I'd put the thin spark plug socket in the drawer before the first maintenance call.
