Generac Generator Costs, EV Charger Install, and More: A Quality Inspector's FAQ

There are two main versions: electrically held and mechanically held. An electrically held contactor drops out when the control voltage goes away. A mechanically held contactor stays in its last position even if control voltage is lost. When a submittal says lighting contactor without saying which type, I send it back for clarification.
